The Surplus Lines Information Portal (SLIP) allows surplus lines brokerages to electronically submit their policy information to the Surplus Line Association of Washington (SLAW). In addition to electronic filing, SLIP provides a variety of other useful tools that allow brokerages to manage their policy submission information.

    SLIP’s Features Include:

    • A user-friendly web interface for brokerages to quickly and correctly submit their policies without the need to download any software.
    • An upload process for larger brokerages to submit their policy data in a batch format.
    • A streamlined process for brokerages and SLAW examiners to identify and resolve policy filing issues.
    • The ability to view all previously submitted (historical) data.
    • Access to detailed reports for brokerages to review, analyze, and verify their submitted data, minimizing the required involvement of SLAW staff.
    • A system inbox to receive documents, newsletters, and announcements from SLAW.
    • The ability for brokerages to manage their own users and distribute their workload.

The Surplus Lines Information Portal (SLIP) website provides the ability for SLAW member brokerages and their representatives to electronically submit and review surplus lines policy data as required by RCW 48.15 and WAC 284.15.  Unauthorized access to or use of the SLIP website or any SLAW website or service is strictly prohibited.
