The State of Washington does not maintain a statutory white list, and surplus line brokers remain solely responsible for determining insurer eligibility. As a service to Washington surplus line brokers and the Office of the Insurance Commissioner, the Surplus Line Association of Washington requests financial information from insurers to verify policyholder surplus eligibility. Insurers meeting these requirements are added to this list so that broker filings may be accepted for examination. Insurers seeking inclusion on this list should review the application requirements.
